Tebay Anglers held their annual winter fly fishing competition for the Roger Blankenship Tankard on a day characterised by poor weather. Thirteen anglers competed for 3 hours in gale force winds and torrential showers made fishing very difficult. Steve Hall was the runaway winner with 9 fish caught and returned. Steve caught his fish using a floating line and a Gold Head Damsel. Karl Hagarth, a newcomer to fly fishing, was second with 4 fish using a fry pattern.
