Bessy Beck corporate trout fishing is centred on the fisheries three well stocked lakes located in the magnificent Upper Lune valley on the borders of Cumbria and North Yorkshire.

Complete novices are almost certain to catch a trout after a short period of instruction at the beginning of the event.
Lessons are put into practice on the Mallard Lake which is well stocked with good sized Rainbow trout and is perfectly suited to novice anglers.
The experienced fishermen in the party needn’t be tied to the novices group and can choose to move on to Bessy Becks well known Island Lake at any stage of the day. Island Lake fish average well over 3lbs with a good number in excess of 10lbs, these hard fighting resident rainbow and blue trout readily take nymphs and dry flies in response to the excellent hatches of natural insects from the well established lakes.
Most people who are new to angling will be mystified about what tackle is really required for fly fishing and how to ensure an outfit suits their needs. During corporate events every item of tackle needed for a successful days fishing will be supplied or can be hired.
Lunch can be taken at Bessy Beck House and is prepared using high quality local produce and Bessy Becks own famous smoked trout. Groups of up to 20 can be catered for over periods ranging from half a day up to a full week, with professional assistance always on hand to polish casting techniques or offer advice.
In season guided fishing for smaller groups of up to 6 more experienced fishermen is available on the rivers Eden and Lune. Lake fishing is also available for boats on Ullswater, widely recognised as the best stillwater fishing for wild brown trout in England.
